Warning about Fraudulent Emails

Hello St. Christopher’s,

A congregant recently received an fraudulent email supposedly from me asking for a favor. The email was from “fr.James.Thibodeaux.pastor@gmail.com”. That is not one of my email addresses.

The following are my email accounts:
FrJames@StChristopherOlympia.com
james.thibodeaux@gmail.com

You may also receive emails from me through Church Community Builder.

I will not ask you for unspecified personal favors through email. Nor will I send you a short message simply asking “How are you?”. These are common fraud techniques.

Should you have a question about the veracity of an email be sure to check the email address or contact me directly by text message or phone call at (360) 628-6828.
