Safe Church Training (formerly Safeguarding)




Safe Church Training is a requirement for various leaders, members, and volunteers at St. Christopher’s in accordance with both Southwestern Washington Synod of the ELCA and the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. For certain positions a background check may also be required. Please see the chart below for further information.

Safe Church Training Online
– Easier if completed on a desktop or laptop.
– Please send your certificate to or notify our church office once completed.

How to report suspected abuse or policy violation.


In-person trainings may be available. Please contact the church office.
Certified completion is current for three years and then must be renewed.
