Dear Pastors, Deacons, and Congregations, In response to President Trump’s statement last Friday that all churches who wish should re-open immediately for worship, I would like to say that I continue to recommend the same steps that I communicated to you last week. Namely, I recommend that each pastor should gather a leadership team that carefully thinks through all of the necessities and implications for safely re-opening a church facility for in-person gatherings. At St. Christopher’s we us several sources for our worship and print them up in the bulletin. Mostly though, we use the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) of the Episcopal Church and Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. It’s a good idea to have one or both of these at home for personal use and for times when you might gather in small groups at home or elsewhere.
