Following the Way of Jesus: The 115th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia |
October 25 | Regional sites: St. Paul’s, Bellingham; St. Thomas, Medina; St. Mary’s, Lakewood; St. Stephen’s, Longview; St. Antony’s of Egypt, Silverdale “Our theme this year for Diocesan Convention is ‘Following the Way of Jesus.’ It’s a reminder of us as disciples that as we choose to follow Jesus, it’s as if we’re walking along a path. As we come closer to doing what he is calling us to do, we learn that that journey is one that takes time and engagement from us.” Bishop LaBelle extends his invitation to join us for the 115th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia as we join together, Following the Way of Jesus. And join us this year as we use a regional model of convention with five sites connected through Zoom. The regional sites, noted above, will be hosted by local congregations, as well as members of our Diocesan Council. For those who are unable due to distance or health to join those gathered, a Zoom option will be available. |

Saint Mark’s Cathedral’s Living Stones II Capital Campaign |
“Our Cathedral sits at the center of our Diocese not only as my official cathedral, but also as the place at which we gather for times of celebration and grief, for opportunities of formation and worship, for chances to connect as siblings and friends across our great Diocese. It truly has become a beacon on the hill for both us as Episcopalians and for so many in the wider community.” Read Bishop LaBelle’s reflection on our cathedral and his invitation to prayerfully consider participating in Saint Mark’s significant capital campaign – renewing our sacred space and deepening our mission. |
