Prayer of the Day
Stir up your power, Lord Christ, and come. By your merciful protection alert us to the threatening dangers of our sins, and redeem us for your life of justice, for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

A message from Church Wellness Network, formerly known as Consultation To Clergy
Dear Colleagues in Ministry:
Beginning today, the 60 year-old Consultation To Clergy agency of ELCA Region 1, and LCMS District 1, has a name change. We are now CHURCH WELLNESS NETWORK.
This new name reflects a strong emphasis on resolving congregational conflicts. We also maintain providing mental health therapy for clergy, as well.
We have a new office, but our mailing address and phone number remain the same: PO Box 1644, Stanwood, WA 98292; (360-333-3649).
Please feel free to use either method of contacting me when you find it appropriate.
In the name of Jesus, Peace.
Laurin Vance, Executive Director

Watch this week’s devotion by the Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, presiding bishop of the ELCA.
“During Advent, we are often told to keep watch,” says Bishop Eaton. “[Luke] reminds us that there is much more to keeping watch than just keeping our eyes open. … ‘Be on guard’ is a call to pay attention to the realities of our world without losing hope for what is yet to come.”

Chaplain Needed at the Child Study and Treatment Center
The Child Study and Treatment Center (CSTC), Washington’s state psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, is in need of someone to provide essential spiritual care and support. This role is vital to the well-being of youth receiving treatment, and the center has been without a chaplain for quite some time.
The immediate need is for someone to lead weekly worship services and offer pastoral care to clients, who range in age from 5 to 17. These young individuals, navigating profound challenges, would greatly benefit from consistent spiritual guidance and compassionate presence.
If you, or someone you know, might feel called to this work, please consider serving in this way.
For more information, contact Brian Shirley at (253) 509-3732.
