Prayers for President and Mrs. Trump
October 2, 2020
Dear Ones,I join our Presiding Bishop in calling for prayers for our President and First Lady and all those affected by this virus. I continue to be amazed at the number of people who feel this is nothing to be concerned about and who ignore calls for caring for one another through doing the minimal things that are asked of us, but I have been inspired by how the vast majority of you take this call quite seriously. Continue to do that, stay well, and pray for all those who cannot.+GregOffice of Public AffairsPlease note: Spanish translation is forthcomingPresiding Bishop calls for prayer for President and First Lady[October 2, 2020] Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has issued the following statement:During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic I continue to pray for all affected by this virus in any way.At this particular moment I ask that all Episcopalians also pray for the President and First Lady, and all in the White House or government who have been infected by this virus.O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity: Be present in your goodness with your children, the President and First Lady, and all in the White House or government who have been infected by this virus, that their weakness may be banished and their strength restored; and that, their health being renewed, they may bless your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
