St. Christopher's and friends are cordially invited to join St. John's/San Juan, Olympia for the Easter Vigil. Arrive early to find a parking spot. If you can comfortably walk, please park on the street and leave church parking spaces for others (Thank you!).

Perhaps the most dramatic service of the church year, the Easter Vigil begins by kindling a fire outdoors and lighting the new Paschal Candle ("Christ Candle) from the flame. In Scripture and song the service retells the story of God's intention to rescue humanity from it's own destruction, culminating in the celebration of Christ's Resurrection in which we are rescued from eternal death.

The service is a exciting and thorough (i.e. lengthy) celebration of the Resurrection that you won't want to miss. Worshipers have traditionally (pre-Pandemic) been rewarded with a champagne reception following the service, which breaks our Lenten fast.
