A Happy Hello and a Fond Farewell

Adel Kunisawa with our newest and littlest congregant.

On Sunday, March 24th we bid a happy hello to our newest congregant. Because it’s our policy not to name children on public web forums unless specifically given permission, suffice it to say she was born to the Johnson household. … and she’s darling! Please continue to welcome the whole family, and thank you for providing food for them the entire month of March.

We also bid a fond farewell to the Kunisawa’s, Kay and Adel. They have been a part of our congregation for about 4 or 5 years now, being transplants for Maui. Kay, good natured, soft spoken, intelligent and a good story teller, has been a regular at the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast and our central photographer at St. Christopher’s. Adel, a cheery, warm hearted, gentle and encouraging person, helped start the Women’s Fellowship Breakfast and has served in many capacities, but most visibly as a Lay Eucharistic Minister (i.e. Chalice Bearer).

We miss them very much already. They moved on the 29th to Spartenburg, South Carolina to be closer to family. They tell us though that there is a sister “St. Christopher’s Episcopal” Church very nearby! Our prayers and blessings go with them and they remind us that they wish to keep in touch.

Friends, Frank “Sandy” Sinclair and Kay Kunisawa.

You will find their new address in the online Church Directory in Church Community Builder. Click the link and select “Participants” to browse through the alphabetical listing of our active congregation. (If you need a Church Community Builder account or password please call, txt, or email Fr. James).
